It's July, and that means the Dallas Observer is holding its annual music awards contest. We've been nominated again for Best Jazz Act, and we're asking all our fans to help out! Just go over to their online ballot and cast your vote for us under the Best Jazz Act category. Head over to the Observer's music blog for more information about the competition. We'll be posting more soon about our showcase location and time on July 19 somewhere on lower Greenville in Dallas; that will be the last chance for everyone to cast their votes. A big thank you to all our amazing fans!

The Inner City All-Stars have been approved as Roster Artist for the 2008 -2010 season as Touring Roster artist for the Texas Commission on the Arts! We would like to thank everyone who has helped us and gave the ensemble a chance to show their talents and be free to be artistic with their art

The band has been selected as one of the 25 artists for the second stage of TRCoA's Unsigned Artist Competition 2008. Now it is up to you to go vote. The top four bands will play at TRCoA's showcase at Antone's on June 18th.

Hey everyone, we're giving you, our awesome fans, the opportunity to compete with each other and help us out a little. We're inviting everyone over to our ReverbNation profile for a competition and for some great upcoming new content only available there! Below you'll see the Fan Collector--just fill in your e-mail address and check the Join the Street Team box if you'd like to play our little game.

Once you're joined up, get your own Fan Collector from the Widgets tab and post it up, invite all your friends, and get them on board! The street team member who recruits the most new fans between March 31 and April 6 will receive their choice of a free copy of our album or two free tickets to our show at the Palace Arts Theater in Grapevine, Texas! The contest starts Sunday, so join up and spread the word!

Hey everybody, we've been having an incredible month so far! Saturday at Gezellig was amazing, with a great crowd as always. Watch for video from that show soon, including a guest appearance by great local music blogger, the "Ghost of Blind Lemon!" Now we're getting ready to hit the road for Louisiana, the birthplace of brass band! Watch for more show details very soon.

The Inner City All-Stars head to Houston for the South Central APCA Conference. We are excited to meet all the schools. If you are coming, make sure to stop by our booth to say hello!

The band will be showcasing on Saturday during the lunch showcase! If your in the House stop at booth 45. Also, if you are coming, leave a comment in the guest book and let us know how you enjoyed the show!

The Inner City All-Stars performed this morning on Day Break with fellow North Texas Alum, Debbie Denmon. The entire newscast ad a lot of fun. The Inner City All-Stars performed in the Victory Park Studio in Downtown Dallas, which is adjacent to the American Airlines Center. The band was promoting their first album "Gotta Move On", which will be available for purchase in the next few days. Make sure you check the website daily so you may get our copy of the new album. The Inner City All-Stars would also like to thank everyone at WFAA for their consideration of having the band on!

This Saturday at Midnight, make sure you watch TXA 21 in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth Area to catch the Inner City All-Stars. The band will be on Rickey Smiley's Big City Talent Show. Wyclef of the Fugees also makes an appearance on the show!

Last week, the Inner City All-Stars auditioned for the show, Rickey Smiley’s Big City Talent. The band did such a great audition, that they were asked to perform the same night as Wyclef, of the Fugees.

It was a last minute announcement, and of course we had to say yes! Its Wyclef!

Make sure you check out TXA 21 to see the show this Saturday night at Midnight. The band really brought down the house. The band did one of their songs “Can’t Get over It” off their new Album, Gotta Move on, to show Wyclef that we can do dance hall too! Big Shout out to Rickey Smiley for putting us on. Be OWT DOG!!! .. Roo!!!
